Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise, offering aspiring students a chance to join one of Nigeria’s leading universities. This guide provides all the essential information, including eligibility, cut-off marks, registration process, and deadlines, to help you navigate the admission process smoothly.
Unizik Post-UTME Eligibility Criteria
Post-UTME Candidates
- First Choice: Must have selected UNIZIK or its affiliate institutions as their first choice in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
- Cut-Off Marks: Minimum JAMB score of 150 for most courses, 180 for competitive programs, and 200 for high-demand courses like Law, Medicine, Nursing, and other Health Sciences programs.
- O’Level Requirements: At least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- Age: Must be at least 16 years old by the year of entry.
Direct Entry Candidates
- Qualifications: Must hold OND, HND, First Degree, or A’Level in relevant disciplines.
- Transcript Submission: Forward academic transcripts to the Registrar, UNIZIK, and submit hard copies of JAMB e-slip, O’Level results, and OND/HND/First Degree/A’Level results to the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) by August 16, 2025. Late submissions will disqualify candidates.
Non-First Choice Candidates
Candidates who didn’t initially choose UNIZIK but meet the cut-off marks can apply after changing their institution to UNIZIK at a JAMB CBT Centre.

Registration Process
- Visit the Portal: Go to apply.unizik.edu.ng
- Create an Account: Provide a valid email, phone number, and password. Verify your account with the code sent to your email/phone.
- Link JAMB Profile: Validate your JAMB registration number and UTME subject combination.
- Pay the Fee: Pay ₦2,000 (excluding bank charges) online via debit card or at a bank using the generated invoice.
- Complete the Form: Upload your O’Level results, bio-data, and next of kin information. DE candidates must also upload A’Level or equivalent results.
- Submit: Submit the form and receive an email confirmation. Print the acknowledgment slip.
Note: O’Level results can be edited during the registration period but will be locked after August 16, 2025. Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded to avoid disqualification.
Unizik Post-UTME Screening Process
UNIZIK will not conduct a physical Post-UTME CBT exam for the 2025/2026 session. Admission will be based on an online screening of candidates’ JAMB scores and O’Level results using an aggregate score system. Use the UNIZIK Aggregate Score Calculator to estimate your chances.
